Waste Disposal Operator

Experience / Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
• Previous experience in waste disposal operation and maintenance within the marine environment.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Environmental Management and Compliance:

• Implement the garbage management plan within garbage processing areas.
• Address environmental issues within garbage processing areas promptly and appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with MARPOL Annex V waste disposal instructions from the Environmental Compliance Officer.
• Diligently manage waste, separating and disposing of it efficiently and effectively using appropriate equipment.
• Follow procedures for handling and treating onboard waste, managing different waste streams effectively.

Audit and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records demonstrating compliance with relevant waste disposal policies.

Quality Assurance:

• Monitor and assess the quality of service provided by the team.
• Report any deviations from standards to the manager for corrective action.
