The individual in this role plays a crucial part in inventory management, storage, and maintaining health and safety standards on board:
Key Holder and Stock Control: Responsible for managing stock levels for assigned stores, controlling access to locked stores, and being accountable for inventory.
Inventory Assistance: Assisting team leaders with inventory of equipment and materials in unlocked engine department stores, ensuring proper storage and labeling in compliance with company procedures.
Spare Parts Verification: Checking arriving spare parts against completeness and proper delivery, working closely with team leaders to ensure accuracy.
InfoSHIP Management: Updating the InfoSHIP system upon receiving and modifying system data as needed for procurement and maintenance purposes, following guidance from the Chief Engineer or team leader.
Inventory and Manifest Preparation: Ordering and conducting inventory for consumables, as well as preparing the summary of cargo landing manifest.
Health and Safety: Supporting an effective health and safety culture on board by strictly adhering to HESS regulations and other health and safety protocols, and promptly reporting any violations to the Head of Department.
