Motorman Daily – Costa

Tasks:

1. Conduct daily checks of main switchboards and substations, assessing their capacity within normal operating ranges and understanding electrical symbols, schemes, and drawings.
2. Operate medium/low voltage switchboards onboard, including the emergency switchboard, with knowledge of substation locations and major utilities.
3. Manage interventions in the Guest’s area by processing Work Requests (WR) and Work Orders (WO), performing engine operations, and conducting checks and maintenance on electrical motors, transformers, propulsion, and electrical panels.
4. Assist Electrician Officers in operating safety equipment such as Lifeboat Electrical Winches, Motors, and Emergency Lights.
5. Operate electrical machines in relation to deck machinery, assisting in maneuvers, and maintaining Galley, Laundry, and Bar equipment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Field and Industrial Automation preferred. Certification as an Electrician is advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrician onboard vessels and 2 years in maintenance service onshore in an industrial plant.
• Mandatory certification of COP III/7 per STCW.
• Proficiency in English language skills.
