Equipment Maintenance:

1. Efficiently assists in the day-to-day repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment, including galley, laundry, hotel equipment, and deck machinery. Tasks include PAT testing, engine room electric motor maintenance, battery maintenance, elevator maintenance, and safety system maintenance under the direction of Electro-Technical Officers.

2. Conducts daily inspections of electrical substations, efficiently resetting and tracing earth faults. Additionally, inspects batteries and switchboards for optimal performance.

3. Takes immediate action on incoming defect chits from the Deck/Technical/Hotel department as directed by the First Electro-Technical Officer.

Inventory Management:

1. Records all maintenance and repair work promptly and accurately as instructed by Electro-Technical Officers.

2. Maintains strict adherence to safety, cleanliness, and tidiness during equipment maintenance, ensuring proper use and storage of all maintenance-related tools.

3. Assists Electro-Technical Officers in coordinating with the Senior Technical Storekeeper to ensure an adequate stock of spare parts and consumables.
