Responsibilities:
- Learn and adhere to all regulations regarding work activity onboard, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Familiarize with all emergency systems onboard, including safety escape routes, fire procedures, watertight doors operation, and lifeboat operations.
- Maintain the engine workshop and handle tools and equipment with care.
- Demonstrate skills in using measuring instruments, reading technical drawings, and performing welding tasks.
- Conduct overhaul, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical equipment onboard.
- Ensure the basic functions of all ship systems are maintained, including propulsion, steering, air conditioning, and water treatment.
- Assist the Staff Chief Engineer in all maintenance work and support a health and safety culture onboard, adhering strictly to HESS regulations and health protocols.
