
Workshop Technician

As the Head of the workshop, this individual is responsible for various tasks related to engine maintenance and workshop management:
Engine Maintenance: Disassembling and assembling engine parts, performing all kinds of mechanical works, and carrying out repair works as required for unplanned maintenance.
Workshop Equipment: Maintenance of all workshop equipment, including regular checks of tools and machinery, and keeping records of their condition. Ensuring general workshop housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Safety Standards: Maintaining a high standard of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE) in the engine workshop, in close communication with the responsible Officer.
Inventory Management: Managing workshop consumables and tools in an economical manner, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Support Role: Providing support to the Staff Chief Engineer or Maintenance Engineer as requested, assisting with various tasks related to engine maintenance and workshop management.
Reporting: Reporting any issues related to safety, security, and environmental matters to their supervisor promptly.
Health and Safety Culture: Supporting an effective and sustainable health and safety culture on board by strictly following HESS regulations and other health and safety protocols, and reporting any observed violations to the Head of Department
