- Assume leadership of all LNG-specific operations, including cooling down, tank preparation, inspections, and bunkering, while advising and training the engine crew.
- Take responsibility for the maintenance of all LNG systems, including fuel gas control systems, safety equipment, and inerting systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to Engine Room Resource Management standards and act as OPS Director when necessary.
- Oversee the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for LNG systems, carry out assigned maintenance duties, and update maintenance data.
- Maintain effective communication and reporting with relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in daily engine officer meetings to coordinate activities and address any issues.
- Enforce HESS regulations in the LNG area, providing or delegating relevant training as needed.
- Ensure accurate entries in logbooks as required by legislation and company policies.
- Manage spare parts ordering for LNG systems and verify deliveries for correctness.
- Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and Learning Management System (LMS) requirements.
- Support and promote a healthy and safe environment onboard, strictly following HESS regulations, and report any violations to the Head of Department
