Fitter Mechanic

Experience / Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualifications/certificates such as Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, or NVQ, or equivalent
- Previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter, including proficiency in using lathes and milling machines
- Experience in welding and pipe fitting
- Good command of written and spoken English
Ship Systems and Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain ship systems and equipment, following servicing and maintenance routines as directed
- Ensure efficient operation of all machinery and equipment through preventative maintenance and prompt response to reported faults
- Conduct fault finding and repair on auxiliary systems and hotel equipment
Trade Skills:
- Undertake planned maintenance carefully and diligently as directed, reporting completion with any defects identified and keeping the supervisor informed of progress
- Carry out tasks efficiently and effectively as requested
- Follow instructions and plans to carry out repairs, ensuring high-quality finishes
Tech Safety Skills:
- Safely use the correct tools for the required tasks
- Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is complete and in suitable condition for work at all times
