Key Responsibilities:
Consistently surpasses restaurant targets by fostering a guest and teammate-centric environment, minimizing issues, and addressing concerns promptly. Assists guests during dining hours with wine recommendations and pairings. Ensures beverage service teammates act as company ambassadors, promoting professionalism. Facilitates integration of Medallion Class products. Hosts and organizes wine tastings and food pairing events. Manages wine inventory and ensures satisfaction through guest feedback. Handles guest concerns directly and ensures accurate processing of orders and charges. Monitors wine sales and promotions and maintains a guest-focused approach. Oversees implementation of wine program to meet Princess Cruises standards. Conducts regular wine training for front-of-house staff. Maintains cleanliness and organization of wine cellar and displays. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
Strong wine knowledge with certification (WSET, ISG, CMS, or SWE). Minimum 2 years’ beverage service experience (preferably in a four-star hotel or restaurant). Excellent communication and computer skills. Proficiency in English required; additional languages advantageous. Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse environment. Extensive knowledge of wine brands and trends. Proficient in food and wine pairing and conducting wine tastings. Capable of training other Food & Beverage Team members.
